3D printer purchase

Post by needcreations »

I have aspirations of 3D printing. What's a good, cost effective printer to start experimenting with? Please provide link to buy. And possibly include a good tutorial video on how to get started with 3D printing. I'm brand new to all this. Thanks!

What's your budget?

For $200, you can snag a A1 Mini and get your hands dirty and learn.

Strong Agree

BambuLab A1 Mini with AMS is a great option for easy to use out of the box.

Here's a website where you can build your own 3D objects for free and then print them

...and no I don't work for them. I built a little shop in my Garage for the kiddos & it works great so far.

I still need to look into that one! There's so many models coming out I can't keep up half the time anymore. I need to get my 3D printing thread rolling soon.

Looking at getting my first 3D printer. I'm leaning towards a Bambu Lab but just trying to decide which model/setup to go for.

Is it worth getting a Bambu Lab A1 Combo or a Bambu Lab P1S Standard?

Depends on how quickly you want to mess with multi-color prints etc.
If you can swing it, I'd personally snag the P1S + AMS 2 Pro combo for $550 on Bambu right now while they last.

I think the multi-colour option would be a nice thing to have but I guess not essential. I really want to buy something that is going to last and give me lots of options going forward. I'm in the UK and it's $760 for the P1S + AMS 2 Combo which is pushing my budget.

The standard A1 or even the P1P would be another good choice.
